First Light

The first rays of sunshine filtering through the gum trees dance over the foliage of the Australian bush. The sweet scent of gum nuts, still wet from morning dew, hangs in the still morning air. They shimmer as the sunbeams dance across their gathered droplets, and the wattle twinkles as the sunshine warms their bright yellow blossom. Though it only lasts but a moment, the beauty of first light is a gift of hope for the beautiful things to come, renewing each and every day.
